Born in Georgia I am self-taught - played calypso in Miami/Bahamas.
I played with Masekela, Weston, Hubbard
and was Dizzy's bebop drummer - I signed with UNI/MCA - and did “Message to our Ancestors,” (’67) “Elements of Now,” (’68) “Lion Walk,” (’68) “Big Black & the Blues (72). I played on
“Night of the Cookers”
& films: "Soul Power" & "A Night in Havana" I was Mohmmad Ali's personal drummer.
